| Please be aware of this latest telephone scam that uses the ploy, "You have won..."
It involves a phone call from a person claiming to be from CLB, Consumer's Legal Benefits, about a sizeable check they say is made payable to you. But in order for CLB to deposit the check into your account, they will need your account information, along with a sum of money sent to them to process the check. DON'T. Free means free, there should be no charge or fee.
Most scams, by phone or email, ask you to provide either credit card or personal account information, or Social Security Number. Unless you have initiated the call and know you are speaking to a legitimate company representative, NEVER give out this information.
