Latest Phishing Scam

Please be aware of the latest e-mail phishing scam made to appear to be sent by "service@visa.com." The phony e-mail states that a recent review of the e-mail recipient's transaction history has determined that their credit card was used in Hungary, but the transaction was refused. The e-mail then advises the recipient to change their PIN by clicking on an attached link.

Should you receive this e-mail, DO NOT RESPOND or click on any of the links in the e-mail. This e-mail is fraudulent, soliciting recipients for personal information including their credit card account number and PIN. The e-mail contains many grammatical errors, which is one of the ways to spot these fraudulent emails.

Neither Visa® nor its vendor partners are affiliated with this phishing scam.

Using caution with your private information is the best way you can help prevent being victimized. Visit our Fraud Section page for additional tips to help protect yourself against identity theft.
