I have been an SCCU customer for over 20 years. I like the small branch offices as opposed to the single main office. Even though I do 99% of my banking online it is nice to have a local office where they recognize you when you walk in the door.

The only reason I keep this account open is that I want a local bank (my payroll is put into an out of state credit union) to access cash easily and at this point, don't want to go the trouble to move the money. I keep requesting a pin for online banking (over past six months) and still haven't received one. I was toldd when I deposited to my savings account that I had to open a checking account and $25 was placed in this. I have yet to receive a printed statement (have had money in sccu for almost a year) and can't access my balance on line because I haven't received a pin yet.

I recently applied for a job. Although I was overqualified, I was extremely impressed that someone contacted me to let me know I was not a candidate. I have found, through my employment search, most employers do not give applicants the time of day or the courtesy of a response. Perhaps this is the way people in Florida do business. I guess I'm not in Kansas anymore! Your a top-notch organization, and even though I did not get the opportunity to work there, I am glad I am doing my business with you.

Have real live people to open the account like just about every other bank, instead of talking to someone on the phone. That way when information has to be changed, it can be done without going back to the phone. Change your security procedures BACK to where Microsoft Money can download account information. The system was fine before; much more convenient. Surely, with the present computer technology, you can manage this. Other than that, you've got a great company.

Allow a more private setting at the branch. We were instructed to use a phone to open the account. After entering the room where the phones are we reallized how noisey those rooms are. You are asked many personal questions that could be heard outside the room. And by anyone waiting in line. But as a whole the experience was enjoyable.

Our names were not used by the person opening the account. She later claimed not knowing how to pronounce our last name as a reason. She should have asked up front rather than not use it at all. Response to my initial on-line application took several days. This should have been within 24 hours or next business day.

The cust service is excellent! the deposit products interest rate paid are way too low. I get 3.3% at Wamu on my standard savings acct, that's atleast 8 times more than what is paid to me on my standard savings acct at SCCU. i probably will use you for loan products and checking but wont use you for any investment or savings products. i opened the acct via the internet, spoke with a rep on the phone but because i work during the week i could not open my acct for several days as your branches except walmart are only open until 430pm i understand that is normal banking practice i just wish they were opened maybe until 5pm or so otherwise i will have to do all my bank branching at walmart or on the weekends.

Direct deposits to and from credit union would be a great help. informed me of a debit that would be taken out of my savings account to pay my SCCU credit card without my knowledge. As well as taking from my checking account without my knowledge. if I were notified of a debit I can make a record of the funds removed and make an accounting of the new balance and not effect any payments pending.

We opened our checking account with the express interest to close my account with another C/U up north. We used a personal check from another bank to fund our account with you. The bank in Indialantic put a 10 day hold on those funds. Our check cleared the other bank in three days and your people would not release the funds, even with proof, to our account. I contacted your service center online and received no help and was given conflicting information... When we aquired your "Free" checking account, it was not explained that we would have to pay for our checks...

In the process of pening my account, the person that I spoke to over the phone clained that is was all set up and all I had to do is go to the branch and sign the papers. However when I got to the branch NOTHING was in the computer. I had to start all over again, it was just frustrating and I feel that if the person at the call center had handled the set up better then there would not have been any confusion. My whole family belongs to SCCU and they appear to be very happy. I am sure I will too in the future. I have only had my account less than a month.

Wonderful Service! I Went bank shopping for a place to open a new checking account and I loved the way there was a yound lady right there in front of the door to greet me and ask me "how can I help you". Right there, I knew SCCU was it! The other banks were too busy doing other things and another bank was trying to get the attention of new customers of new clients by putting muffins in the front door. Well that didnt work for me. SCCU is awesome!

All the associates at the Rockledge South Branch are great! They are the most helpful and friendly group of people. I enjoy going. They keep me coming back for more of my banking needs! I did not like setting up my account via phone while in the credit union and, then, being passed on to an account rep to finish the set up. When my husband and I set up our original account several years ago we sat down with a representative who explained everything, etc. This time when I left the credit union I was confused about the whole experience. Your current method of opening accounts is very poor. If my husband and I weren't already members of the credit union, I would not have continued with my account after the above experience. I would have looked for some place where they cared enough to have one person handle the entire experience of opening an account.

The only thing I would have to comment on. Is when I opened my account. I was told when, my direct deposits starts. I would recieve a $100 in my account. Well I didn't but other then that. I think your bank is good so far.

FYI - I opened a business account mid last year and was offered nothing by the person that I dealt with as far as credit cards, loans, etc. I went to Bank of AMerica and was offered SBA Loans, credit cards and lines of credit immediately.
