I had no difficulty with sccu; however the payoff company was a nite mare. After numerous going back and forth between companies; a sccu rep took over and called the payoff company for me. Hopefully this matter is finally settled, thanks to the sccu employee (rebecca) who went above and beyond.

I was extremely happy with the service I received when I refinanced both of our auto loans. We were able to reduce the monthly payments on both cars while shortening both loan terms and lowering both interest rate.s The SCCU representative was very helpful and patient with me despite all of my questions. I selected SCCU for refinancing for two reasons. One was to consolidate all of my banking at SCCU because I have found no other financial institution that is more customer oriented. The other reason was because the SCCU representative I spoke with was informative without being pushy.

Make sure that all information regarding make and year of the vehicle was correct,thus alleviating my getting a letter requiring me to verify insurance on a vehicle that I didnot and never have owned. This in turn necessitated several phone calls and days to get resolved and getting a department manager involved. I do want to say, however, that all the people I dealt with were personable with the exception of one in the Fort Worth office. But the most frustrating thing was not being able to get to the same person twice when calling, even though that person gave me his/her extension, thus having to relate the whole story each time I called.

Overall, it was a positive experience, but a little thin on follow-up. Basically, once I got the loan, I heard nothing from SCCU until I got my bank statement. At the least, I would have expected a written acknowledgment of our newly established relationship. I think SCCU should send out an official welcome letter that reviews and outlines the terms of the loan (when payment is due, where to send it, etc.). They went over it all briefly in our only face to face meeting, but I expected some kind of written acknowledgment of our new relationship.

hmm, I think it would have been nice to be acknowledged when I was in the branch waiting my turn. It was crowded and awkward, the line for tellers went into the waiting area and I was 'overlooked' twice..I liked the customer service a lot! The rate is good, too!

In general, I dislike it how the associates answer the phone asking a question that is difficult to understand, like "can i help you apply for a mortgage today"  I wish they would just say "Hello, this is so and so, how may I help you?"

I am sorry to say that I have forgotten the name of the branch manager on Barnes in Rockledge, but after having some miss communications with the a teller or two she stepped in and went the extra mile to make sure that everything was right (which it wasn't) and talked to several people on the phone to correct the issues. I would recommend her to anyone that I come in contact with.
