The email shown below has been reported to us. It is NOT from the National Credit Union Administration, and you should not respond.

This email is a classic example of a "phishing" scam. One thing many of these scams have in common are erroneous use of words and misspellings. Also, no legitimate company will ask you to verify personal, unpublished information via email or over the telephone. NEVER respond to these requests.

We recently noticed more attempts to log in to your Credit Union Account account from a foreign IP address.(85.186.119.221.tm.upcnet.ro ; Country: Romania; City: Timisoara ;Date Reported: 09th May 2006; Risk Level: MEDIUM; 11 Attempts recorded ) If you accessed your account while traveling, the unusual log in attempts may have been initiated by you.
However, if you are the rightfull holder of the account, please visit Credit Union Account as soon as possible to verify your identity. Please read below all information to understand what National Credit Union Account is.

Top Fraud Tips
Make sure SCCU has your current contact information, including daytime phone number.  To verify your information, log on to Online Banking.  Click on the “Additional Services” tab.  Open the “Personal Information” box.  Make any updates and submit.
 

NEVER respond to emails or phone calls asking for account numbers or other personal information.

 
Do not put your Social Security or Driver’s License number on your checks.
 
Eliminate personal information from your mailbox by cancelling your paper statements. Log on to Online Banking
 
Always review your monthly statements.  Report any suspicious charges or activity.  View statements online
