SCCU Dress Code

SPACE COAST CREDIT UNION requires all employees to present a professional image to the public. Accordingly, each employee is required to wear appropriate business attire while at the office and when conducting Space Coast Credit Union business. While there are many trendy fashions available, many of these are not appropriate for our work environment.
SCCU IS A TRADITIONAL BUSINESS DRESS CULTURE
Traditional business attire is described by the following:
Men's Attire
Acceptable attire includes: business suits; sports jackets or blazers; dress slacks; collared dress shirts; dress socks, and dress shoes or dress boots.
- Ties are required at all times
- Undershirts must be worn under dress shirts.
- Clothing should be clean and neat in appearance and ironed if necessary.
- Personal grooming is essential; hair and nails must be clean and neat.
- Men must be clean-shaven unless choosing to wear a beard or mustache. Beards and mustaches must be trimmed and maintained.
- Cargo or Docker style pants are not acceptable.
- Tattoos and body piercings should not be visible.
Women’s Attire
Acceptable attire includes: business suits; pantsuits; business dresses; blazers; dress skirts, slacks, blouses; hose/stockings, and dress shoes.
- Sling-back shoes or closed toe pumps are appropriate. Dress boots are appropriate only when worn with slacks.
- Sleeveless blouses, shells, or dresses are appropriate only if worn under a jacket. Those choosing to wear sleeveless blouses or shells must wear their jacket at all times while at work. Cap sleeves are not acceptable without a jacket.
- Skirt length should be appropriate for the business environment. Extremely long or short skirts or dresses are not appropriate. Gaucho skirts are not acceptable.
- Clothing should be clean and neat in appearance and ironed if necessary.
- Good personal grooming is essential; hair and nails should be clean and neat. Nail painting should be of a conservative nature.
- Tattoos and body piercings other than earrings should not be visible.
- Cargo or casual pants are not acceptable.
- Hose/stockings must be worn at all times.
I acknowledge that SCCU is a traditional business dress culture. I am willing to abide by this dress code if I become a SCCU employee.
