Congressional Report Card - How Legislators Voted on Important Credit Union Issues
Know Before You Vote!
Congressional Report Card
The League of Southeastern Credit Unions has prepared a Congressional Report Card as a guide to inform credit union members how their legislators voted on key issues affecting credit unions.
The Congressional Report Card includes:
- A brief summary of each issue included in the report, whether the League supported or opposed the proposed legislation, and the point value that a particular vote contributed to the report card
- A yes/no statement as to whether the legislator supported the credit union position
- Information as to which legislators serve on the House Financial Services Committee and the Senate Banking Committee
While we are fully cognizant that credit union members will not make a voting decision based solely on a candidate's position regarding credit unions, it is important to understand how those representing you are contributing to your future access to credit union membership and the benefits that access provides.
