Sarno Animal's veterinarian Dr. Michael Ponte is a 1981 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida. He received the University of Florida's Presidential Recognition Award and is an active member of AVMA, FVMA, AAV and University of Florida Veterinary Medical Alumni Council. He has successfully founded and operated four veterinary hospitals in Lighthouse Point, Boca Raton, Coral Springs and Clermont, Florida. On August 11, 2004, Dr. Ponte purchased Sarno Animal Hospital, which has been in business in Melbourne, Florida since 1969.
