Important Fraud Warning for Eastern Financial Division Members
Fraudsters are opportunists who are always on the hunt for new ways to deceive and steal from consumers. Based upon real-world examples in the financial industry, the upcoming systems conversion between Eastern Financial Florida Credit Union and Space Coast Credit Unions could potentially trigger attempts by criminals to steal personal financial information from our valued members. We want to help you avoid this.
Be on the lookout for emails or text messages requesting that you update your personal and/or account information online, or for unsolicited phone calls from people claiming to be from the credit union who ask for personal account information.
SCCU will never contact you via email, text message, or telephone asking for personal account information such as complete social security numbers, account numbers, credit or debit card numbers, dates of birth, etc. If you receive an email, text message, or phone call requesting that you update your personal and/or financial information, please send the information to reportfraud@sccu.com.
Please remember that Space Coast Credit Union, the NCUA, CUNA, CUNA Mutual, and other organizations pertaining to credit unions DO NOT email, text message, or telephone our members asking for private personal information.
