2Way Text Fraud Alerts for SCCU Visa® Card
What is 2Way Text Fraud Alerts and how does it work?
2Way Text Fraud Alerts is SCCU’s newest layer of fraud protection for your SCCU Visa debit or credit card. Through this service, as long as we have your cell number, you will receive real-time text alerts whenever we detect unusual activity on your card.
When you receive the text alert, you can reply text “Yes” to verify the purchase or “No” to confirm the transaction as fraudulent activity.
If the purchase is fraud, you will receive a text message with a follow-up number to call and we will automatically block your card to prevent fraudulent activity. If not, you can continue to use your card as normal.
What do I need to do to get this service?
Your SCCU card is already enrolled.
If we do not have your current cell phone number on file, you can update your contact information three different ways.
In Online Banking under the Settings tabs.
Call 800-447-7228, Option 5.
Visit your local branch.
Is this service safe and secure?
Yes! Your security is our first priority and we will never ask for you to confirm your card number or account information via text, phone, or email.
Is there a cost for this service?
This service is completely FREE to our entire membership. You will not be charged by your carrier for the text messages, nor will the text messages impact your data plan limits.
