Attempts to Steal Debit Card Information
NOTICE: It has been brought to our attention that some members have received automated phone calls/messages stating that their debit card has been deactivated or blocked. After listening to the automated message, members were instructed to press #1 to be connected to security, at which time the automated system attempted to gather the member's card number and PIN.
THIS PHONE CALL/MESSAGE DID NOT ORIGINATE FROM SCCU AND IS AN ATTEMPT TO PHISH FOR YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.
Space Coast Credit Union will never contact you in regards to your card/account status in this manner.
If you receive such a message, DO NOT RESPOND or follow any of the instructions in the message. This phone call is fraudulent and could solicit recipients for personal information including name, phone, e-mail, banking credentials, and card information.
If you ever have a question concerning your account or credit/debit card, contact SCCU directly.
Please remember that Space Coast Credit Union, the NCUA, CUNA, CUNA Mutual, or any other organization pertaining to credit unions will never contact you via email, text message, or telephone asking for personal account information such as complete social security numbers, account numbers, credit or debit card numbers, dates of birth, etc
