What is Credit Counseling?
Credit counseling is a service offered to people with excessive debts as an alternative to bankruptcy. A credit counselor will work with you one-on-one to provide financial education, credit analysis and a working budget. For most individuals who speak with a counselor and are serious about working their way out of debt, credit counseling can be a successful alternative to bankruptcy.
How Do I Know If I Need This Service?
It may be beneficial to further explore credit counseling if you find your debt is not decreasing, you are struggling to make your minimum loan payments, you are near or over your credit limit, or if you are consistently receiving collection calls.
