PPP Loan Forgiveness

Lawmakers recently passed legislation, the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act, changing the original PPP forgiveness requirements.

The new law eases conditions for small businesses to take advantage of PPP forgiveness by:
  • Increasing the eight week requirement to 24 weeks to use loan proceeds.
  • Increasing the rehire timeline of employees from eight weeks to 24 weeks.
  • Adjusting the percentage of loan proceeds required to be spent on payroll from 75% to 60%.

SCCU Business Members who have obtained a PPP SBA Loan will still receive communication from SCCU eight-weeks from the date loan funds were disbursed.

We are updating our technology to assist in gathering the required documents and will be sending additional information as we prepare the forgiveness piece of the process. Our goal is to make this as seamless as possible for our members.
Our website is the best resource for information as we will continue to update as the SBA releases additional guidance.
